New CEO at ÅAC Microtec

On October 1 Mats Magnell assumes the position as CEO at ÅAC Microtec, with the mission to continue the development of ÅAC to a world leading industrial company in the area of advanced microsystems-based products, using the company’s unique 3D-packing technology for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.

Mats Magnell has worked with international marketing and sales of high tech products for 17 years, most recently as Project Purchasing Manager at Scania.

“I look forward to joining a strongly growing company with extremely competent and committed staff. Together we will make the most of the opportunities offered by the current hot market. My aim is to continue to raise the bar for what we can achieve with our miniaturization technology in the industrial sector. Our goal is to expand our customer base by offering the very best in miniaturization of robust components and systems. This requires an intimate knowledge of the customers’ operations and market and the courage to try new solutions,” Mats Magnell says.

“Mats has long experience of working with business development, and this will further strengthen this ambition,” says Staffan Junel, ÅAC’s Chairman of the Board.

Mats Magnell succeeds ÅAC’s co-founder and previous CEO Fredrik Bruhn, who will continue to work in the company, focusing on ÅAC’s growing aerospace and defense business.

“It’s very satisfying that we are now taking the next step in the development of the company, making the technology available for industrial applications and opening up another very interesting business area. At the same time we are considerably strengthening company management,” says Fredrik Bruhn.
